I Believe in Jesus:

In the second article of the Apostles Creed,
we proclaim our believe in Jesus as the only Son of God.

The Annunciation :

The Angel Gabriel said to Mary that she would have a son, whom she was to name Jesus.

The angel said, “He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High God.” Luke 1:26-38

Joseph:

In a dream Joseph is told that the child should be called Jesus
and would be know as Immanuel.
Meaning God is with us.

Whats in a Name:

The name Jesus is derived from

 Hebrew ישע‎

Joshua, Yeshua.

 Meaning “to deliver; rescue”

Name:

Christ: was not originally a name but a title derived from the Greek word christos, which translates the Hebrew term meshiah (Messiah), meaning “the anointed one.”

This title indicates that Jesus’ followers believed him to be the anointed son of King David,
whom some Jews expected to restore the fortunes of Israel

Baptism:

In the water of the Jordan at Jesus Baptism we read,

And a voice came from heaven,
“You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”

Confirmation Name:

Pray to the Holy Spirit,

asking for help in choosing your

Confirmation Name.
